Over 350,000 Take to the Streets to
Demand Peace, Justice & Democracy!
On April 29, the streets of New York City echoed with the voices of more than 350,000 people from across the
United States calling for an end to the War in Iraq.
We gathered to make connections between the local and global
effects of B
ush's war and the violence it is doing to our communities and our earth.  Demanding peace, justice and
democracy for all people, we came together to
speak out and create change!  See more pictures and articles from the
day at
www.April29.org

Youth had a HUGE presence in the march! With an awesome turnout of young people throughout the march, we
made it clear
to the country that YOUTH ARE NOT YOUR SOLDIERS! The Youth & Student Activism tent was packed
with young activists who signed the
Books Not Bombs petition, tagged our graffiti wall with visions and demands for
change and got organizing
resources from NYSPC member groups.  Thanks to all those who came out and joined
us to challenge the militarism t
hat is rampant in our world and our schools. Send us your stories, pictures and
thoughts from the day to
NYSPCinfo@gmail.com!

But April 29 was just the beginning... we must continue to creatively resist and speak
out
for change!  Join NYSPC member groups at these upcoming events to build
young people's strategic power against militarism and war:
